AUTHOR NOTE:
This short story is a preview to a much larger series I’ve been working on for quite some time. There is a prequel (hinted at by one of the characters if you read closely!), and this story itself is a transition scene from one part of the main series to the next. I hope it piques your interest because I’m really looking forward to finishing and releasing the corresponding books!
